About Kip

I’m a musician by heart. In college I wrote a theme song for one of our female football teams that ended up going viral around our campus. I transitioned that love for music into a successful independent recording career. I’ve created TV theme songs, professional wrestler ring entrance songs, placed over 80 songs on some of your favorite  TV shows and played gigs with some of the biggest acts in the world. I was able to achieve all of this through hard work, persistence, self-promotion and marketing. It wasn’t long before I became obsessed with marketing. I knew if I became an amazing marketer I could create the life I always dreamed.

In 2008, I was featured in every major Chicago news outlets including WGN, The Chicago Tribune etc. I was everywhere. I was so successful at marketing my music via social media that people began to take notice and asking me for help. So that very same year I started my own social media business. My clients were from all walks of life including Non Profits, Dental Offices, Custom Home Builders, Retail Stores, Authors, P2Pi.org and many more.

In 2012, ALYCE Paris, one of the world’s largest prom dress brands, approached me. This was an amazing opportunity and challenge to create their entire social media department from scratch. Working directly with their COO & CFO in 2 years I’ve helped turn ALYCE Paris into one the most talked about brands and the thought leader in social media in their industry. Creating our industry changing influencer strategy. I’ve built relationships with 100’s influencers, agencies, managers, publicist and contacts in various mediums. For more detail and highlights on my work with ALYCE Paris click here.

During this time I was also awarded “Social Media Campaign Of The Year” by NAMI Illinois (National Alliance Of Mental Health) for my social media work and teaming them up with Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall.  This was some of the most rewarding work of my life. We raised over nearly a million dollars to improve the lives of individuals with serious mental illness and those who love and care for them.

After 3 years as the Director of Social Media for ALYCE Paris. I was offered a position at HY Connect. This is a unique opportunity to help spear head growth in their newly created social media department. Our current clients include IU Health, MB Financial, Wahl, Bakers Square and many more. Visit HYConnect.com for more information.

When I’m not spending time with my wife Ty, who means the world to me, I speak and share my experiences with businesses & schools. I also still create music and perform several times a year in the Chicago area. I’m currently working on a new album produced by Cisco Adler & Nic Bavetta called “The Sweet Spot of Life.”
